The open source plug fest is an open time to come and browse some of the most successful open source projects used in imaging informatics. Representatives from many open source communities will be on hand to help attendees understand and get started using these powerful open source programs.
The TRIP™ Vendor-Neutral Business Analytics Demonstration

This demonstration (of the SIIM TRIP™ Committee’s workflow and key performance indicators project) will show how business analytic tools from one vendor can query one or more different PACS, RIS, or enterprise systems and perform vendor-neutral analytics. The demonstration will illustrate an ability to have objective business measures that are transportable.
The goal is to demonstrate the benefits of an industry standard specification for medical imaging workflow metrics, showing multiple vendor/open source BI dashboards connected to specification-conforming RIS. Presentation of the radiology workflow metrics will differ, but the data meaning is the same, and therefore comparable, across organizations.
